    On January 1, 2012 the firm was transferred to Scott R. Nortz and became Nortz and Carter, PLLC, with Jon K. Holcombe continuing of counsel.  William Ramseier became a law clerk in the State Supreme Court in Watertown, leaving the private practice of law.  
    On July 1, 1997, the firm had become the firm of Carter, Ramseier, and Holcombe, PLLC, as the Successor to Carter Law Firm, PC, previously Carter & Carter, with John Carter and his father Elsworth Carter having been the attorneys.
    From 1994 to 1997 the firm of Holcombe & Ramseier, had offices in Alexandria Bay, NY with Jon K. Holcombe and William F. Ramseier.  From 1964 to 1993 Mr. Holcombe was located in practice in Syracuse, NY.
